'Glee' Michael Jackson Episode: Rumored Set List Leaks1676521

Perez Hilton reports that January 24 episode includes a 'Beat It' and 'Billie Jean' mash-up.

"Glee" has already dedicated entire episodes to Madonna, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, and come 2012, it's the King of Pop's turn. A rumored set list for the January 24 "Glee" Michael Jackson tribute episode has hit the Web, and it features some of the late singer's greatest hits. Perez Hilton reports that 14 tracks have made the final cut, although the list has yet to be confirmed by anyone connected with the show.

The set list (along with who will perform the track) reportedly includes "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' " (Blaine), "Bad" (the New Directions and the Warblers), "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" (Finn and Rachel), "Smooth Criminal" (Santana and Sebastian), "Never Can Say Goodbye" (Quinn), "In the Closet" (Brittany and Santana), "We Are the World" (the New Directions and the Warblers), "Black and White" (Puck), "Ghost"/"Monster" (New Directions), "Beat It"/"Billie Jean" (Warblers), "The Way You Make Me Feel" (Kurt) and "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" (Artie). This is hardly the first time the show has paid homage to Jackson. Back in 2010, the New Directions performed his track "Thriller," complete with zombie garb, during an episode that aired after the Super Bowl. The show has also previously covered "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" and "Man in the Mirror." Back in 2010, the cast of the hit Fox show had only imagined what it would be like to have an entire episode dedicated to Jackson. "I would love to do a Michael Jackson episode," Amber Riley told MTV News at the time. "You know, it's so many [songs that I love], but my favorite song by him is 'Human Nature.' I love that song." While Riley seemed psyched about the opportunity, castmate Jenna Ushkowitz found the possibility a little more daunting. "That's a scary, scary episode to do," she said. Gingrich assails Romney for 'smear campaign'

OTTUMWA, Iowa (AP) ? Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich lashed out at Mitt Romney on Tuesday, accusing his chief rival of a "negative smear campaign" fueled by a political action committee with close ties to the former Massachusetts governor.

"Understand, these are his people running his ads, doing his dirty work while he pretends to be above it," Gingrich told reporters after a campaign appearance at a heavy machinery plant in Ottumwa, Iowa. "I don't object to being outspent. I object to lies. I object to negative smear campaigns."

Gingrich has pledged to remain "relentlessly positive" as he campaigns for the GOP nod for the White House. He said on Tuesday that he wasn't violating that promise but simply correcting the record.

On Tuesday, Romney said in an appearance on MSNBC that super PACs have been "a disaster." But he refused to urge the group Restore Our Future to halt the attacks on Gingrich, saying that the law prohibits his campaign and such groups to coordinate.

"I'm not allowed to communicate with a super PAC in any way, shape or form," Romney said. "If we coordinate in any way whatsoever, we go to the big house."

A fired-up Gingrich read Romney's remarks to reporters and then promptly labeled them "baloney." He again urged Romney to demand that the negative spots be taken down.

Gingrich said Restore Our Future was created by Romney's former staff and funded by "his personal friends."

Gingrich's own former top aide, Rick Tyler, has joined a pro-Gingrich PAC called Winning Our Future. The former House speaker said he would expect the PAC to adhere to his positive strategy.

"If Rick Tyler runs a single negative ad, I will disown the PAC and discourage anyone from giving them a penny," he said.

"Now the governor had a very easy way to do the same thing and for him to say he couldn't find the people who gave that money and he couldn't get them to put pressure on the PAC to be reasonable is just purely dishonest," Gingrich said.

Gingrich has seen his candidacy slide in polls as a barrage of ads attacking him blanket the Iowa airwaves in advance of the state's first-in-the-nation caucuses Jan. 3. He has been trying to counter the assault while still maintaining a positive campaign.

Even so, questions over the sharp tone of the race have grabbed the spotlight, even among voters who decry heavy-handed tactics.

During Gingrich's remarks to about 100 people at the Al-Jon Manufacturing plant in eastern Iowa, one voter asked Gingrich about a political mailing he had received describing the former congressman as a globalist.

"I think these guys hire consultants who get drunk, sit around and write stupid ads," Gingrich replied. "Every one of these candidates should take responsibility for the lies they are putting up".

Repairman charged in 2010 NYC elevator accident (AP)

NEW YORK ? A grand jury has indicted a repairman on criminal charges in an elevator accident that maimed a woman visiting a New York City hospital.

Brooklyn prosecutors say maintenance worker Jason Jordan wrongly disabled a safety switch that was supposed to stop the elevator from moving with its doors open.

Last Christmas, a 47-year-old woman was getting onto the elevator at SUNY Downstate Medical Center when it lurched into motion. Her arm and leg were trapped and crushed, but she survived.

Jordan was charged Thursday with assault and reckless endangerment. He says it was an accident and happened after he left the hospital.

The case is unrelated to a fatality Wednesday, when an advertising executive stepping into a Manhattan elevator was dragged and crushed.

Kyrgyz parties form broad-based coalition (AP)

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan ? Four parties in Kyrgyzstan have agreed to form a broad coalition government, a development that could create much-needed political stability.

Under an agreement signed Friday, more than three-quarters of the 120 parliament deputies will enter the coalition, which is expected to significantly ease decision-making. The first task will be appointing a prime minister.

The previous government collapsed this month amid disagreement on reforms.

The ex-Soviet republic struggles with hardship exacerbated by corruption and crumbling infrastructure.

Kyrgyzstan hosts a U.S. air base used as a hub for operations in nearby Afghanistan.

>> record breaking sales this holiday season may be giving way to record breaking returns. some of the people who rushed to the stores as early as thanksgiving for big discounts are returning the gifts to get the cash back because they need it. according to the national retail federation , returns cost stores 10 cents for every dollar earn and that is an increase from last year. a retail writer for the associated press. i heard holiday hangover, buyer's remorse. when we look at the video, people were grabbing things that maybe they didn't need or want, but got caught up in the madness.

>> right. they got caught up in the 60% and when they brought the merchandise back to their house, they realized they didn't need it and it was denting their bank account .

>> that's incredible. we had several conversations and i believe it was one of the gut checks on the show. we said people talk about hard times , but they're running out with a wii or nintendo in their hands. i don't want to stand in the way of anyone's happiness, but these are tough economic times .

>> what's happening is three things. people are getting too caught up with the bargains out there. they are realizing they spent too much. number two, stores were lenient with the returns. they started becoming lenient two years ago. number three, i talked to a number of shoppers and they all say you know what, i'm buying and i bring it home , but i keep looking for the better deal and i will return it.

>> absolutely. there some stores right now on their second round of discounts, especially places that sell clothing where they reduce the prices and they are on the second round. if you bought it, you should get your money back.

>> i talked to lots of shoppers who said they return something to get a cheaper brand or something different because it's cheaper. you really see this reluctance to spend.

>> absolutely. thank you very much. we will see what happens after this holiday stuff dies
